Sponsors and partnerships
This festival weekend would not be possible without the following people and organisations who generously donate their time, money, goods and services. Flinders Island Harriers Inc. thanks everyone who helps out in any way, from larger corporate sponsors to individuals who help the weekend run smoothly.
Tasmania Medicare Local
From 2010 to 2013 Tasmania Medicare Local provided funding (supplied by the Department for Health and Ageing) for the Healthy Islands Project (HIP) to promote healthy living in the Furneaux Islands. Many HIP hours were spent growing the running festival and developing this website.
TasPorts has generously donated funds each year to help cover the running costs of the Festival.
In 2013 Momentum Energy provided sponsorship to help cover the costs of running the Festival and generously donated a new start/finish banner so we don't get lost or confused.
Lions Club of Flinders Island
Each year the local Lions Club provides invaluable support after the Pub2Pub by providing soup, rolls and fresh fruit.
SES Flinders Island
Every year during the Pub2Pub and the Flinders 5 our local SES volunteers help set up the course, man the drinks stations, liberally pass out jelly beans (only if you're fast enough though) patrol the roads and ensure everyone is safe.
Tom and Julie Lees donate their time each year to help ensure the festival weekend runs smoothly. They have also donated a perpetual trophy for the male winner of the Flinders 5.
Walkers Supermarket provides refreshments (water, fruit and glucose lollies) for the Pub2Pub.
David and Dale Williams
David and Dale donate a prize each year to the female winner of the Flinders 5, in memory of their daughter Alli Crane.
